Bill Clinton v. Donald Trump – Hillary’s Double Standards Revealed

For the past two years, the news has been filled with dozens of sexual allegations against anyone who is anyone.

Many believe it all started with the allegations that were leveled at movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, but it actually started before then. The allegations against Weinstein were made public in October 2017, and that event is credited with launching the current Me-Too movement.

Within days, the list of actresses making sexual allegations against Weinstein began to read like a who’s who of Hollywood. Like a snowball rolling down a hill, the further it went, the more the allegations grew and they soon spread to other men in the entertainment industry and even a few women were accused by men.

From the entertainment world, the Me-Too movement spread like a highly contagious disease into the worlds of business and politics. It toppled many business executives and ended the political careers of a few members of Congress.

Women around the country, regardless of if they were feminist or not, joined the Me-Too movement and stood up to a male dominated culture. They raised their voices and said no more.

No one can deny that the sexist culture that has existed for many years needed to be stopped, and this was one way to stop it, or least bring it to light.

Sadly, it also became a tool to attack politicians from members of the opposing political party. These unverified allegations were suddenly accepted as 100% true, regardless of a lack of evidence or even in the face of evidence. This was the case when allegations were used to prevent Judge Roy Moore from winning the US Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions when he became Attorney General.

The same tactic was used to try to prevent Judge Brett Kavanaugh from being confirmed to the US Supreme Court, but that attempt failed and he now sits vindicated on the highest bench in the land.

Then we have the issue of the allegations made against Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign and what happened to former President Bill Clinton while he was still in office.

In the case of Trump, the only evidence was an audio tape of an off-the-cuff and improper statement. Some believe the payoff of porn star Stormy Daniels is additional proof. They also feel that it all adds up for grounds to be impeached and removed from office, claiming he is not fit to be President.

But what about Bill Clinton? It was proven that he was guilty of adultery and more before and during his presidency. He was impeached and found guilty of two articles of impeachment by the House, for obstruction of justice and perjury. Unfortunately, the Senate at the time didn’t have the guts to convict Clinton and remove him office.

So, how does Hillary Clinton deal with proof of her husband’s adulterous affairs, which she defended, and her harsh criticism of Trump and Kavanaugh?

When asked recently, here is what Hillary said:

“There’s a very significant difference, and that is the intense, long-lasting, partisan investigation that was conducted in the ’90s.”

“If the Republicans, starting with President Trump on down, want a comparison, they should welcome such an investigation themselves.”

“Bill had to be incredibly strong. First to get elected, then to get re-elected, and to survive.”

“And it was not easy, by any means, obviously. But he really believes that Democrats had to be tougher and stand up to the bullying and the intimidation.”

When you boil down her side-stepping and dancing around the issue, she basically said that it was okay for her husband to commit adultery and even have an adulterous affair in the Oval Office, because he’s a Democrat who believes in the Democratic platform, but it’s not okay for Trump to serve as president even if there isn’t any proof from accusers, because he’s not a Democrat who believes in the agenda of Democrats.

Hillary complained that Trump has not been investigated like Bill had, but that’s another lie. Ever since his election, Trump has been the subject of more than one investigation and one can be assured that if half the evidence were found against Trump that was found against Bill Clinton, everyone would have heard about it loud and clear.

One big difference is that there is no seen stained dress involving Trump as there was with Clinton.

The issue isn’t the investigations or lack thereof but in Hillary’s eyes, Democrats, like her husband can be proven to be guilty of adultery in the Oval Office and elsewhere and it’s okay because of his dedication to the Democratic Party, but it’s not okay for Trump or Kavanaugh regardless of the lack of evidence against them.

Thus, we have a clear example, from Hillary Clinton’s own mouth, of the double standard that she and many other Democrats abide by.
