cheap provigil uk One of the best parts of a vacation is stumbling upon a secret beach: somewhere where the sand is free from footprints and the sounds of the waves are entirely for your ears (you know, like these 10!).

Now imagine finding a place like that, and instead of it being a tiny blip of a fond vacation memory, it’s a place you return to again and again to sleep, eat, and decompress to the soundtrack of the sea. (No tent required!)

That’s just what the founders of Canadian-based Backcountry Hut Company envisioned when they designed this contemporary tiny home using a prefabricated “kit-of-parts” system.

The basis for the design is a pentagonal shell coming in at 191 square feet and capable of sleeping 2-4 people in a studio loft-like atmosphere. From there, buyers can add on up to three “modules,” increasing the square footage up to 937 square feet.

The real draw for adventurers is that the house, delivered IKEA-style in flat-pack form, bypasses the need for excavators and heavy machinery, making it easy to build in off-the-grid hideaways. (Co-founder Wilson Edgar says a team of four can raise the structure in less than a week.) Depending on how off-the-grid you go, the house may even be delivered via helicopter.

“In a lot of cases, our customers want to build on their remote dream property as a way to escape the 9 to 5,” says Edgar, who founded the company with architect Michael Leckie. “Some of those locations can’t accommodate a traditional, intrusive building process.”

The Surf Shack model, one of the company’s newest offerings, naturally appeals to our coastal senses. Here, upgrades like faded cedar siding and foldaway glass doors that open onto an outdoor deck make the space especially beach-friendly.

Ready to order a prefab getaway of your own? The sleek structures start at an estimated 100,000 Canadian dollars (or roughly $77,000).
