Evidence as to Why Pelosi Should Resign from House

The most powerful Democrat in the US House of Representatives is 77-year- old Nancy Patricia D’Alesandro Pelosi. She holds the position of House Minority Leader, but there have been signs of late that she may no longer be mentally competent to hold her position of leadership or even hold her seat in the House.

Pelosi began her career in politics in 1976, when she was elected to be one of California’s members to the Democratic National Committee. Her election was helped by the influence of her older brother Ronald Pelosi, who at the time as a member of the City and Country Board of Supervisors for San Francisco.

Forty-one years later, she is still in national politics, is still a flaming California liberal and has been exhibiting more and more signs that she could be suffering from some form of dementia.

I don’t bring this up to ridicule or make fun of her, but to question her ability to serve in such an important national political position of power.

There are many forms of dementia which include Alzheimer’s, and I’m not an expert. However, I have written a number of times of the various forms of dementia and through my research have discovered
that many of these forms of dementia can directly affect the way a person thinks, acts and speaks and this seems to be what is happening to Pelosi.

In speaking out about the recent school shooting at the high school in Parkland, Florida, Pelosi mumbled, repeated herself, seemed confused, forgetful and was caught just staring off into the distance as if trying to collect her thoughts.

When pushing for her pet gun control bill, she fumbled with trying to remember the names of the two sponsors.

When speaking about meetings on matters of gun control, she seemed to suffer at least one brain freeze in the middle of a statement.

At one point, while speaking, she appeared to suffer a facial spasm, causing her to mispronounce a word which she then repeated.
Several times she repeated herself, often in a quieter, hushed, but audible tone.

Her confusion was displayed when she referred to the USDA as the Department of Education, only to add Agriculture, afterwards.

She reminisced about when she first went to Congress in 1987 saying:
“When I came to Congress there were only three networks and the young man said to me, ‘You mean like CBS and ABC,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, that would be considered a network.’”

“The, uh, we did have CNN at that time, too, so four. Is that not a network?”

When she asked if CNN was a network, it was said in such a way as if she was wondering aloud, something people with dementia often do. Much of her speech was riddled with many signs that could
be easily interpreted as being caused by some form of dementia.

This is not the first time something like this has happened to Pelosi in the past couple of years, but this did seem to be one of the worst examples of her possible mental decline. A number of people are
questioning her mental ability to continue, even some of her fellow Democrats, like Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ), who has been quoted as saying that he believes Pelosi will step down from her leadership position sometime next year, regardless if Democrats wrestle control of the House away for Republicans or not.

Even though I’ve never cared for many of her radical anti-American political views and that she has regularly ignored the will of the American people, you can’t help but feel sorry for her, if in fact she is
suffering from dementia. It’s not only difficult on the person, but also for the person’s family and friends and it’s something that no one should have to go through.

The bottom line is that she holds a position in one of the two governing bodies of our federal government and she holds a key position of power, authority and influence as well and if she is suffering from some form of dementia, then that has to affect her ability to make decisions and serve
in the House.

It doesn’t matter if you like Pelosi or not, she is increasingly showing signs that, if proven to be true, should cause her to resign from the House of Representatives.
