Do Voters Support Hillary Clinton’s Call for Civil Disobedience?

If you step back and watch the trend of politics in America, especially that of Democrats and their supporters, you will see a growing trend for unrest, protests, demonstrations and even violent riot and encounters. Think about what happened in Charlottesville when white supremacists were holding a peaceful march. They were violently attacked by liberals who support Democrats. When Ann Coulter was scheduled to speak at a California university, the same group threatened violence, so her appearance was cancelled.

Back in June, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) called for Democrats to protest against Republicans. She stated:

“Already, you have members of your Cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants, who have protesters taking up at their house, who say, ‘No peace, no sleep. No peace, no sleep.’”

“And guess what, we’re going to win this battle because while you try and quote the Bible, Jeff Sessions and others, you really don’t know the Bible.”

“God is on OUR side! On the side of the children. On the side of what’s right. On the side of what’s honorable.”

“And so, let’s stay the course. Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Last week, Hillary Clinton also called for civil disobedience when she stated:

“You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about. That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and/or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing that the Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”

Excuse me?

President Donald Trump is trying to restore America to what it was before Democrats and professional politicians began destroying it. Democrat socialists like Obama worked hard to destroy America and turn the nation into something ugly and repressive.

With headlines like that of the New York Post – Where’s the outrage over Hillary’s call for a ‘civil’ war?, one would think that the majority of Democrats would be climbing on board with Hillary Clinton and her call for civil disobedience, but is that so? Are Democrats preparing to continue with the behavior they displayed after the election of Trump? Will their civil disobedience be worse?

Rasmussen Reports took a poll asking voters:

“Do you agree or disagree with the following statement – ‘You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about’?”

The results may surprise you as they reported:

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds that a plurality (47%) disagrees with Clinton’s statement: ‘You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about.’ Thirty-nine percent (39%) agree with the statement, while 14% are undecided.”

“Even among Democrats, it’s a close call: 44% agree with Clinton; 40% do not. Fifty-one percent (51%) of Republicans disagree, as do voters not affiliated with either major party by a 49% to 35% margin.”

If you watched the nationally televised Senate hearings with Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh, you would have seen clear examples of civility and the lack of civility. Even though Republicans didn’t believe everything Ford said, they were very civil towards her.

However, I don’t recall any of the Democrats being civil with Kavanaugh. They were hostile and attacking and any form of civility or politeness from Democrats was clearly absent, which brings me to another question Rasmussen asked voters:

“Is there more or less civility between the two major political parties in Congress these days? Or is the level of civility about the same?”

How would you answer this question?

Rasmussen reported:

“Sixty-six percent (66%) think there is less civility between the two major political parties in Congress these days. Just 18% say there is more civility. Thirteen percent (13%) rate the level of civility as about the same.”

While most voters don’t agree with Hillary’s call for civil disobedience, you can be assured that we will continue to see more and more hostility in the coming years and after elections. Which makes one wonder what America can expect if the blue Democratic wave fizzles and a red wave keeps Republican control of both houses of Congress?

That also brings up a question I’ve heard some Republican supporters ask and that is, if Democrats gain control, should Republicans and conservatives resort to the same measures of protest and resistance?

One way or another, it does not paint a pretty picture for America’s future.
