Feed the ‘friendly’ bacteria in your gut

Friendly bacteria help the process of digestion and boost immunity.

While friendly bacteria are found naturally in the gut, they need their own fuel source, which can be found in some foods.

Foods containing inulin, such as chicory, asparagus and leeks are good fuel sources.

Inulin is a type of dietary fibre which supports the growth of good bacteria.

Eat fermented foods

Live yoghurt, which is fermented with friendly bacteria, is another good source.
